Jackie Brown

Jackie Brown was an amazingly funny screenplay but also thought provoking. In our own interpretation we decided, to figure out what the themes and characters roles and personalities were and how that contributed to the story and if they could be exchanged for a different interpretation of the film. At first we found it hard to let go of the preconceived notion we had made up in our mind of the film, because most of us know if was a Quentin Tarantino film, and we also knew who he had cast for some of the roles. We knew that Quentin had written many of these parts with certain actors in mind, for instead Orell, was played perfectly by Samuel l. Jackson. This made it even harder to break free from the already made film and create our own version.

Orell is more unstable n dangerous.

Orell is involved in crimes. He is unstable, ruthless, and doesn’t trust people.  He has no problems killing.
Jackie, however,
keeps her cool,. She is astute, and clever. She’s trying to not go to jail, she plays everyone except for mMax.
Max is Jackie partner in crime. An unappealing accomplice, who has a crush on Jackie, almost gentleman like.
The cops seemed rather immature and juvenile. They screw with people a lot in this screenplay
Possible eras- mobs, gangster, recess, film noir, element of crimes n drugs, corrupt law.
Does Jackie have to be a girl?

Cinematographer - …
Scene – Jackie pretends to freak out, and cam freaks out.
Staging – portray how cool Jackie brown is.
